It is no surprise to me that the best video game of all time would also have the best video game music of all time.
I think maybe one person will appreciate this...
Maybe.
Talk about nostalgia.
Weird thought, but I feel like this would be an interesting game soundtrack to hear Appleseed Cast cover. I think they could do really cool things with it.

I think I just got a boner. Sorry, sorry, I know...too much information.
But, seriously, this is easily the game I've most anticipated since...well since the first one came out.

It took the second to most recent Family Guy episode for me to finally fully appreciate Conway Twitty. Hilarious...or not so much.
I've owned a few of his albums (including the massive, four disc Conway Twitty Collection) for quite some time. I even put all of the music I own by him on my IPod back around Christmas time. It just never got much play. However, now, I'm kind of obsessed...

| | Superchunk - Learned to Surf | ] | There is a new Superchunk EP coming out in April. I'm so excited. There is also talk of a new full length.
Who wants to go to XX Merge in late July? July 22 - July 26 I believe. Fuck the Baltimore Fest, Gainesville Fest, and Chicago Fest...it's all about going to North Carolina in July.
Anyway, "Learned to Surf" is the best song of 2009, and that's a fact.
Learned To Surf (you can actually stream the entire EP here, but "Learned to Surf" is the first song): http://www.mergerecords.com/store/jukebox2.php?catalog_id=606 |

| Let The Right One In |
[Oct. 17th, 2008|08:34 am] |
Man, I need to see this! Apparently they're remaking it here in the US, which is a total bummer.
From AICN:
Hey folks, Harry here... At FANTASTIC FEST, the single best Horror film I've seen in years played. LET THE RIGHT ONE IN. Sadly, it is being remade in the United States, and nothing could be further from what I want to see remade. LET THE RIGHT ONE IN is the best M NIGHT film he could ever hope to make. It's earnest, yet sweet. Scary, yet warm. The atmosphere is frigid and the performances breathtaking. I literally have no prayer for the remake of this movie, as everything that makes it work is counter to American horror today.
Below you'll see the Red Band Trailer, which Rotten Tomatoes has put up for our embedding happiness. The good news is that MAGNET films will be releasing this film across the country. You'll have a chance to see this masterpiece and understand for yourself - just what a blessed miracle it is that this film exists. This is truly one of the very best Vampire films ever made. And it does it without re-inventing the vampire, but just doing it right. Plays by the rules. Did you ever wonder what would happen if a Vampire entered your house without an invitation. Was it some archaic set of good manners? Just wait. This film is masterful.

| Feeling old |
[Oct. 6th, 2008|07:16 pm] |
I'm feeling old. I got off of work; felt tired, sick, and completely worn down. An hour later Jon W reminded me of the fact that there's an awesome show in Cincinnati tonight. Told him I probably wouldn't be there, because I'm, "still sick." The Serious Geniuses are probably one of my new favorite bands. They're a great blend of Archers of Loaf, Superchunk, and dirty punk rock ala Dillinger 4/Crimpshrine/Off With Their Heads. Or maybe that's just my imperfect interpretation of their music. All the same, they're awesome. Fuuuuuuck. |
